Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)

Menard County Housing Authority's goal is to provide protections to Housing Choice Voucher Program and Project Based Voucher Program applicants and program participants from being denied assistance on the basis or as a direct result of being a victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and/or stalking and to provide VAWA accommodations during continued occupancy to ensure continued access to safe, secure, affordable housing.
